Blog Post 4: Update


Here is a short video of the shot I have been working on. I realize that it's not the best jump shot form you've seen, but it is a working progress (by the way, I missed that shot). What I want you to focus on this video is how my feet jumps forward (even 
though it's like 10 inches), and my body sways back a little. This is what I mentioned in the previous blog post about the sweep and sway. I still have to sweep forward a lot more and work on my upper body swaying back. 
 
Also, before I started this project, I did not dip. A dip is when a player brings down the ball below the waist before the shot. This gives the body more rhythm, and makes it easier to shoot the ball. I still have a lot more that I need to do before the project is finished, but I honestly do think I am making some progress. I have been able to make a lot more shots during games lately, and I hope it gets to a point where I will be able to make shots with a defender guarding me.
